Rivers State Water Services Regulatory Service was established by the water sector development law no 7 of 2012 to provide for the efficient and sustainable supply of water and sanitation services.

1To ensure fair and balanced regulation for the benefit of all stakeholders in the water and sanitation services value chain by ensuring safe, affordable, sustainable and good quality services

2To regulate water and sanitation services focusing on:
a. sustainable service delivery while balancing commercial considerations against social realities.
b. to encourage water and sanitation service providers to deliver water that is safe, clean and acceptable to all consumers.
c. to promote increased public awareness and sensitization
